Description
Our "Top of the Line" unit! More powerful and larger than any other. Expands to a giant 30 trays so you can dry large quantities all at once! 1000 watts of drying power means you can dry more, faster. Patented Converga-Flow® fan forces heated air up the exterior pressurized chamber, then horizontally across each individual tray, converging in the center, for fast, even and nutritious drying. No flavor mixing! No need for tray rotation.
Fast, Powerful Fan! A quiet, 2,400-RPM motor and specially designed 4-1/2 inch fan mean faster, more nutritious drying. Four times faster than dryers which have no fan or motors.
Adjustable Thermostat! Different foods need different temperature settings. The adjustable 95-155 degree F thermostat gives you the flexibility to get the best results.
Vita-Save® Exterior! The opaque exterior blocks light to retain more of the food's nutrients and vitamins during the drying process.
Expandable to Meet Your Needs! As needs grow, this four-tray unit can be expanded with accessory Add-A-Trays®, up to 30 trays (30 sq. ft.) Drying pressure adjusts automatically to the number of trays.

| What a dehydrator! |
Nov. 21, 2012 |
 |
| I purchased my dehydrator 6 years ago to do venison jerky. I have dehydrated over 500 pounds of venison jerky, 100 pounds of beef jerky and at least 12 boxes of apples. I have never had any problems with it. A friend purchased a different manufacturers product and it takes 16 hours to dry jerky while I can do 3-4 loads in the same amount of time. I wish I had another one! Excellent value! Have dried apricots, peaches, plums, tomatoes, peppers and cherries in it and always the same great result. I highly recommend these dehydrators! |

| Dehydrator is our favorite Nesco product. |

| We have used the Garden Master dehydrator for years and dried hundreds of pounds of fruit and veggies with it. In winter we cut up apples and dry them in the basement and it helps heat the house. The trays do eventually wear out from hunderds of hours of drying and I have had to replace the bottom heating/fan part, but the service has been excellent. It is, for us, a time tested product that performs better than many appliances we have had. I no longer add anything to apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums, etc. I just cut them and put them in, and if it is a hot sunny day, just put the trays out in the sun for that part of the day. I finished them in the dryer when needed during hot days. |

| We've had model FD1008 for 15+ years...it finally quit..i tried to repair it, nope. Found this and our existing trays still fit! All the specs are the same from what i can see. Got the first batch of zuchinni chips going now. This is a true semi-pro unit in my opinion. |

| Great machine |

I love the machine, works well, just has a problem if you dry meat that is a bit fatty it that allows the drippings to get into the heater/blower unit. It starts to smoke a bit.Nesco Response: Greg,
We advise in our use and care manual to only use lean cuts of meat to prepare jerky.
Also the use of a fruit roll up sheet on the bottom tray is suggested to catch drippings.
This unit will not smoke if liquids are not introduced into the heating element. |

| I have had my dehydrator for a little while now and my son and I have had a blast! We've made dried apples and deer jerky so far. As far as the fruit goes, it's ok to do in the house but jerky should be done in the garage or your house will smell like jerky for weeks to come. The unit works like it's supposed to and the food comes out great although you may have to alter the temp setting and time duration. I bought this unit because my father loves his. |
