| Excellent Low price dehydrator |

For the price, this is a fine product. I have the clear tray dehydrator, so it may not be identical. I have had some over-browning of vegetables because of hot spots. I could have a fancier unit, but I would have had to pay double the price or more. My advice is if you want to start out on the low end, try this one until you convince yourself that you need to upgrade.
As to the design, I have tried to sun dry apricots in the past, and flys can be a problem as well as insufficient temperature. This unit solves that with the closed chamber, and adds an additional 40-60 degrees F to the ambient temperature, and adds air flow. Great line of products, would prefer less noisy.
