The NESCO FD-75PR Food & Jerky Dehydrator provides maximum speed and quality for dehydrating your favorite foods. The adjustable temperature control (95°F -160°F) gives you the flexibility to achieve the best results when drying different foods that need varying temperature settings. This dehydrator comes with five (13 1/2″ diameter) trays and expands up to 12 trays so you can dry large quantities at once, with no tray rotation needed. Additional Add-A-Trays sold separately. The quiet, powerful Converga-Flow® fan forces heated air down the exterior pressurized chamber, then horizontally across each individual tray. The air flow then converges in the center for quick, consistent drying that is four times faster than other dehydrators. The top mounted fan eliminates liquids dripping into the heater chamber. Includes two fruit roll sheets, two clean-a-screens, a sample of jerky seasoning & cure, and a 52-page recipe & instruction book. 27 years ago I purchased the FD50 model Snackmaster. On October 2, 2012 the unit dehydrated it’s last 3 lbs. of excellent venison jerky. Yes this fabulous little unit has finally gave out it last breath of warm dehydrating air. I received this dehydrator as a gift two years ago and I absolutely love it. Though I have yet to make jerky this has been used so many times to dehydrate strawberries, apples, bananas, and mango. The fruit leather tray is a god-send, and I will never purchase fruit roll-ups for my family again.

Have had mine for about a year..use it twice a month to make chicken strips for my dogs. made a batch last night, loaded it up this morning for the 2nd batch and machine just will NOT come on. am not a happy camper right now.. sure can’t afford to just go out and buy another one. Machine has never been dropped or anything. Loved it up till now. shipping the motor part is not an option.. shipping alone would cost half of what it would cost to buy a new one.

I have to say that this is the easiest thing I have ever had to learn how to do! It is also the best thing I have came across in years for my health! It is SIMPLE to learn and the results are GREAT!! I got this to replace a cheaper model I got from a tool company , It is a good upgrade for me, I have added xtra trays after I got it. works very well for the price spent , The only Thing is its advertised on this wed site as 700 watt , And its said to be rated 650 watts on the box it came in , But very capable even with the added trays , Delivery was fast ,Company is trust worthy , Thanks

This Dehydrator is one of the best household items you can invest in! We have made jerky by the truckload with this thing. Not to mention all the fruits we have made along with the fruit leathers. I have dried veggies from the garden and when we used them, they tasted better than fresh. If you are looking to buy a dehydrator, you need to look at the Snackmaster. This unit does it all!

Great way to save money on groceries and not be throwing away those bananas that are left over or carrots in the fridge. Potato Chips and apple slices. Even making items into the fruit roll ups is a great savings. Very easy clean up and takes up very little counter space as you build upward and not across. Within one evening I make banana chips and jerky for my husband. They did not last long because he ate them up.

Seems like a lot of people really like this unit, but my motor quit working in about 2 years. I only use the machine every once in a while to dehydrated fruits and veggies, so was surprised it quit. Great machine, just wish it lasted longer.

I have a very old Snackmaster Jr that I got (I think) during the 90’s, and it still runs fine, but I decided to add another dehydrator to my collection, and got the Snackmaster Pro. I wanted one with a temperature control, which the Jr doesn’t have. The Pro does beef jerky much faster, and I can still dry herbs in it without watching carefully to avoid toasting them! Having the fan sitting on top of the unit is a huge improvement, and makes cleaning so much easier. I don’t worry as much about getting crumbs an drips into the fan. All in all, I just love this thing. Drying is a wonderful way to preserve the nutrition and flavor of what comes of the garden, or special buys from the farmers’ market, and my family loves the beef jerky I make in it.

The motor died on my unit also after only two years of light use. No warning. No reset button. Nothing. It was working and then it stopped. Not happy. These units are too expensive to only last two years. Come on NESCO, you can do better. I don’t recommend buying this unit.

I’ve had my 75PR dehydrator for a couple of years and it’s always been really good. Made some jerky last night. It worked fine when I turned it off. This morning it’s dead!
