I love my Nesco. The cookwell needs replacing after 10 yrs but everything else is in great shape. Very few things are made to last anymore, so do not hesitate to purchase one.

6 quart roaster

I am one of the "grannies" who was given a Nesco roaster as a wedding gift in 1950. The first thing I ever cooked for my new spouse was the chile, made from the recipe book that came with the roaster. I never deviated from that recipe which became a family favorite for a half century. I used the roaster every week for spaghetti sauce, corned beef, lasagna, etc. The only thing I had to replace was the cord. It finally gave out in 20010, when I decided its cookwell needed replacing. No matter how much I update my kitchen appliances, this oven remains my favorite!
