Gyros in Pita Pockets - Jet Stream Oven

1 lb ground lamb
1 small onion, minced
1½ Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
6 6" pita breads
lettuce
tomato slices

Sauce
1 small cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
1/2 tsp dried thyme

Combine meat and seasonings; mix well. Shape into six 6" patties. Place 3 patties on each rack in preheated Nesco®/American Harvest® Jet Stream Oven® at 400ºF on LOW fan speed, for 5-6 minutes or until browned.

Combine sauce ingredients. Line each pita bread with lettuce and a tomato slice. Top with meat patty, add sauce and serve hot.

Yields 6 servings
