Pasta with Sauce and Meatballs - Jet Stream Oven

Sauce
12 cups canned chopped tomatoes (2 28oz cans)
3 Tbsp chopped garlic
1 cup chopped fresh basil
1 tsp sugar
freshly ground black pepper
salt to taste

Meatballs
1/4 cup fresh basil
1/2 lb ground turkey
1/2 lb lean ground beef
3/4 cup minced onion
2 egg whites, beaten
1/4 cup minced parsley
1 tsp dried oregano, crushed
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt

10oz spinach rotini or other pasta

To make sauce in large saucepan, combine tomatoes, garlic, basil and sugar. Bring to boil and simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 30 minutes. Season to taste with pepper and salt. Set aside and keep warm.

To make meatballs, mix all ingredients together well and form into 24 walnut-sized meatballs. Place meatballs on inverted rack in preheated Nesco®/American Harvest® Jet Stream Oven® at 400º F on LOW fan speed for 8-10 minutes.

Prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain well and divide into 6 servings. Place 4 meatballs alongside each serving of pasta. Ladle sauce over each serving and garnish with basil.
