Chicken in Mushroom Sauce - 6, 12 or 18Qt. Roaster
3 lb broiler-fryer chicken, cut-up
2 Tbsp salad oil
12 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced OR
8oz mushrooms, sliced and drained
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth, white wine or water
Heat oil in skillet. Add chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned. Place in Nesco® Roaster Oven. Add all remaining ingredients. Cover and cook at 325º F for 1 to 1¼ hours.
SLOW COOK: Prepare recipe as directed. Cover and cook at 225ºF for 4 to 6 hours.
