Peppered Steak - 4, 5 or 6Qt. Roaster
2 (4 to 6oz) tenderloin or ribeye steaks, 1" thick
1 tsp fresh, ground black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp Italian herb seasoning
2 Tbsp margarine
2 green onions, thinly sliced
mushroom sauce, to serve
Preheat Nesco® Roaster Oven to 425º F.
Rub pepper, garlic and herb seasoning into steaks; set aside.
Lightly wipe cookwell with cooking oil. Add margarine to preheated cookwell. Cover; cook until melted. Arrange steaks in cookwell. Cover; roast 5 minutes.
Turn steaks over. Cover; roast 5 minutes (140º F on meat thermometer). Steaks will be lightly brown, moist and tender.
Serve with mushroom sauce.
