Scottish Oatmeal Scones - Jet Stream Oven

1¼ cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup margarine
1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
1/4 cup raisins or currants
1/3 cup milk
1 Tbsp melted margarine

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl. Cut in shortening
and margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in oatmeal and

Scottish Oatmeal Scones - Jet Stream Oven

Knead dough on lightly floured surface 5 or 6 times. Shape to form a 7"
circle. Brush top of dough with melted margarine. Cut into 6 wedges.

Bake in preheated Nesco®/American Harvest® Jet Stream
at 375ºF, on LOW fan speed for 7-8 minutes on inverted foil-wrapped
rack or pizza/cookie pan until lightly browned. Serve warm.
