|Almond Croissants - Jet Stream Oven
|17 oz frozen puff pastry; thawed
1/4 cup ground almonds
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 tsp water
1 egg yolk; beaten
Cook sugar and water in small saucepan until a syrup forms.
Remove from heat and stir in almonds and almond extract; cool.
Roll out puff pastry to a 6 X 12 inch rectangle and cut into 16 triangles. Spread filling on triangles.
Roll up from long side and shape into crescents. Place on rack (upper position)of your Nesco® Jet Stream Oven. Brush with egg yolk and bake.
Time - 10 minutes
Temperature - 400º F
Fan Speed - LOW
Cook accordingly until golden brown.
