Steam-Cooked Long Grain Rice - Pressure Cooker

1 cup of long grain rice
1½ cups water
2 cups additional water (to be added to removable pot)
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp butter, cut into bits

Set rack in bottom of removable pot in Nesco® 3-in-1 Digital 6 Qt. Pressure Cooker and pour in 2 cups of water. Cut a piece of aluminum foil (1 ft. wide by 2 ft. long), fold it twice lengthwise to create a long strip about 3 in. wide for lowering a heat-proof container into cooker.

COMBINE: Rice, 1½ Cup Water, Butter, and Salt in a heat-proof container no more than 7½" diameter. Center container on strip and lower it onto rack. Loosely fold ends of foil strip over top of container. Lock lid into place.

Set regulator on STEAM. Press Steam button and set time for 20 minutes and press START.

NoteIt will take several minutes for pressure to build before timer starts to count down.

Yield: 3 cups of cooked rice.

NOTE: The PC6-25P 3-in-1 Pressure Cooker Regulator Knob identifies Pressure as SEAL and Steam as VENT.
