The Food Processor can be used for mincing meat, slicing or shredding vegetables and herbs.
WARNING: THE LOCKING COVER IS A SAFETY FEATURE THAT ALLOWS THE PRODUCT TO OPERATE ONLY WHEN THE COVER IS PROPERLY LOCKED INTO PLACE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DEFEAT THE SAFETY PURPOSE OF THE LOCKING COVER.
NOTICE: To avoid damage to the disc and blades do not use the appliance for grinding hard
substances such a coffee beans, frozen foods or ice.

Mincing:
1. Rotate the control knob to “0” for “OFF”.

2. Position the bowl onto the base aligning the handle with the slot in the base. Then turn the bowl counterclockwise until it locks into place.
NOTE: The unit will not operate unless the bowl is properly locked into place.

3. Place the chopping blade over the stem inside the bowl.
CAUTION: TO AVOID A CUTTING HAZARD, ALWAYS HOLD THE CHOPPING BLADE BY THE SHAFT AND NOT THE BLADES.

4. Place the cover onto the bowl, positioning the tab on the cover to the right of the handle. Turn the cover counterclockwise until the tab slides into the groove under the handle and locks into position.

5. Be sure the control knob is in the “0” position and then plug the power cord into a 120 Volt electrical outlet.

6. Cut food into small pieces and insert into the food chute; always use the pusher to feed the food down the chute.

7. Rotate the control knob to the “1” or “2” speed position to begin. Rotate the control knob to “0” position to stop.

NOTICE: To avoid product damage:
• Never exceed 15 seconds of operation while mincing. After using for 30 seconds, allow the motor to rest for one minute before operating again.
• Never overfill the bowl when mincing meat, particularly for meat. The maximum weight capacity for the bowl is 24 oz. (700g).

Slicing / Shredding:
1. Position the bowl onto the base, (steps 1 and 2 in the Mincing section above) Do not insert the chopping blade into the bowl.

2. Place the disc shaft onto the motor shaft inside the bowl, round side down.

3. Place the Slicing / Shredding Disc onto the Disc Shaft. For slicing place the disc onto the disc shaft with the slicing blade face up. The lip of the disc will also be facing up. For shredding place the disc onto the disc shaft with the slicing blade facing down and the shredding teeth facing up.

4. Attach the cover as described in Step 4 of the ‘Mincing’ section above, ensuring that the small metal peg on the underside of the cover aligns with the hole in the center of the slicing / shredding disc.
