Three AA batteries (Not included) activate the vacuum pump to keep the medium sized canister sealed. Snap down latches on the cover ensure proper seal fit. The automatic vacuum function keeps the canister sealed at optimal pressure for up to 6 months. The vacuum pressure is released by pressing the seal indicator button. The clear dishwasher safe canister lets you see what is inside and is BPA free. Also features a built-in rotary “pick-a-date” wheel that helps keep track of date stored.
