Swiss Steak - 4, 5 or 6Qt. Roaster

2½ to 3 lb round steak
2 tsp Worcestershire® Sauce
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
2 large onions, sliced
16 oz stewed tomatoes

Preheat Nesco® Roaster Oven to 375º F.

Lightly wipe cookwell with cooking oil. Place meat in preheated cookwell.

Brush Worcestershire sauce over meat; sprinkle on pepper. Cover; roast 20 minutes. Add onions and stewed tomatoes. Reduce temperature to 300º F; cover; roast 30 to 40 minutes (145º F to 160º F on meat thermometer).

For slow cooking; brown meat, then reduce temperature to 250º F and roast 2 to 3 hours or until tender.
