Stuffed Burger - 6, 12 or 18Qt. Roaster
2 lbs ground beef
1½ tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup onion, minced
8oz Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded
6 Tbsp prepared tomato salsa
6 hamburger buns
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper and onion; mix thoroughly. Shape into 12 patties. Reserve 1/3 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese.
Top six patties with remaining cheese, divided evenly. Place remaining patties over cheese-topped patties and press edges together.
Place patties in Nesco® Roaster Oven which has been preheated at 350ºF.
Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until done. During the last 2 minutes, spoon 1 Tbsp salsa on each burger and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Remove from cookwell and place each burger on a bun. Serve immediately.
