It takes far too much coffee grinds to make a decent cup of coffee. Some coffee grinds remain dry after the brew cycle is over because the percolation doesn’t hit the lid and rain down. Instead, the water is shot through four holes every 90 degrees horizontally. It would be similar to having four people with hoses facing in four different directions trying to water your lawn. In warming mode there are bubbling noises and the coffee is too hot, which affects the taste. Some of the lawn would not receive water. Otherwise, the unit looks nice and feels sturdy. The coffee basket is metal and is also built to last. I really wanted this coffee maker to work as it was the right price and much better looking than some from Hamilton Beach and West Bend. I returned to Amazon the same day received.

I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and the overheat button trips far before any coffee is made. It takes 15 to 20 resets to make 1 pot. You have to let it cool completely then restart. Over and over. It’s terrible.
