I love this little hand-held vacuum. Mine is over 5 years old and is still like new. The vacuum’s shape makes it easy to hold (even with osteoarthritis).
I use it throughout the year – for freezing garden harvests and meals and for storing nuts and dried fruit mixes. I lOVE that the bags are washable & REUSABLE! They are dishwasher safe (I tried it), but I usually soak bags in very warm water with good ol’ Dawn. Then, I scrub them inside and out and air-dry them in my dish rack (turned inside-out, then later turned outside-out). TIP – I do not recommend freezing chopped, raw onions if you want to reuse bag for something without onions in it. That is the only odor that stayed in the bag (but, I did not blanch & dry onions first).
I haven’t used the canisters often (simply forgot them in storage). The canisters are VERY high quality & all parts are easy to clean. I’ve started keeping the whole kit closer to my kitchen to use it more often to freeze leftovers, chopped veggies that are on sale, or to re-seal a bag that I opened to remove a portion of contents. If something has any fat in it, I add a bit of bleach to the dishwater; it did not deteriorate the plastic.
The charge holds for quite a long time between uses, and it charges quickly. I recommend this to anyone.
